Week 2

Our "little sisters" Sister Katalyn Mayes from Layton serving in Georgia Atlanta North and Sister Aubrie Forsyth from New Mexico serving in Alabama Birmingham.  We met these sisters at the laundry room and had fun running into them all week.

This couple are Elder and Sister Thalman.  They are wheelchair specialists and shared with us their recent trip to Kazakhstan and Armenia.

Here's Chelsea's little Damon.  I took this photo before we left Tucson.

Some shots of our trip to Welfare Square.  Our host told us that NBC news had been out filming for a news story.

We were taken to lunch at the Joseph Smith Building.  These are our friends the Wingets, assigned to Nigeria.  Elder Rudd spoke to us after lunch and told us stories from his years of experience.

June 2, 2012

We arrived at the MTC on Monday.  It has been a fun, amazing week.  We have met people headed all over the world, to places like Serbia and Croatia, Philippines, Singapore, Nepal, India, Honduras and even Riverside, California.

The teachers here are great.  One of them told us a cute joke.  "What is the last thing that Lot said to his wife????  Who's that following us?"

The weather has been lovely.  The classes fun and the food great.

We had a returned couple who served in Tahiti tell of their experiences.  They said they never murmured.  They complained a lot, but never murmured!

Elder and Sister John going to Honduras

Nolan and Keree brought us to the MTC.  Nolan is looking like Bob Harper these days!

Our first day at the MTC!

This is Sister Howden, our language teacher here.  She is from Lithuania.
